Evacuation orders and warnings have been called off for the fire on Marine Corp Base Camp Pendleton.
The November fire broke out in a training area near base housing Wednesday morning. Cal Fire says in four hours that fire expanded from 150 acres to close to 560.
Thick smoke covered neighborhoods from Oceanside to Temecula, with a smoke advisory issued.
Authorities reporting an aggressive attack on the ground and the air. By 6pm Wednesday, officials said the fire was 50-percent contained and all evacuation orders have been lifted.
