BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Over a dozen student groups from different schools gathered at the Boston Public Schools’ Central Office in Roxbury on Thursday to put on a musical celebration.
Students from Boston Green Academy, Boston Latin School, and other districts joined together to perform acts of music, dance, and theatre at the annual ‘Holidays At Bolling’ show.
Theatre Content Specialist Jaronzie Harris kicked off the event as emcee.
“Over 300 students are bringing their artistic talents to this wonderful stage,” announced Harris.
Boston Latin Academy Orchestra Director Anthony Morales said he’s happy to see so many kids enjoying the arts.
“The performing is easy for them,” said Morales. “It’s really special, yeah. It’s good to see what the other teachers are doing and how they’re playing, and happy kids, happy environments. It’s good for them to see, too, just what’s out there.”
Morales is also happy to see his group perform well, made entirely of 9th-grade girls playing violins, violas, and cellos.
