NWS Issues A High Wind Warning Tuesday With Gusts To Peak at 50 mph

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for parts of Massachusetts until 1 a.m. on Wednesday.  

The affected communities include the East Slope Berkshires and Worcester Hills. Wind gusts could peak between 45-60 mph, with the strongest winds happening before 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

NWS added that this could lead to the possibility of down trees and powerlines.

According to MEMA, more than 2,000 customers cross the state are without power as of Tuesday morning from overnight strong winds.  

A Wind Advisory was also issued for Southern New England. Gusts could be as high as 50 mph.

AccuWeather predicts temperatures to be around 25 degrees. With elevated wind gusts, temps are expected to feel like they’re in the single digits, close to 0 degrees.
