BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Josh Kraft, son of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, has filed to run for mayor of Boston against incumbent Michelle Wu.
His filing to be a mayoral candidate appeared on the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance’s website on Monday.
Kraft is president of the New England Patriots Foundation, and is in charge of the Patriots Foundation, the Revolution Charitable Foundation, the Kraft Center for Community Health, and the Kraft family’s work with the REFORM Alliance, according to the Kraft Group.
Before working as president of Kraft Family Philanthropies, Kraft spent 30 years with the Boys and Girls Club of Boston, beginning as a program coordinator in 1990 and working his way up to president and CEO.
He is also currently the board chair for the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts.
