CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - Chester Ellis (D) has been reelected as the Chatham County Commission Chairman.
Chester Ellis, a Democrat, has focused his campaign on health care, education, economic development and public safety.
Ellis is a lifelong resident of Chatham County. He is a graduate of Sophronia Tompkins High School as well as Savannah State University. Ellis went on to receive a Masters Degree in Education and Leadership from Cambridge College and did doctoral coursework through the Fielding Institute.
Ellis and his wife have been married for over 40 years. They have three daughters and four grandchildren.
In 2017, Chester was elected as the commissioner for District 8. He was elected chairman of the Chatham County Board of Directors in 2021. You can learn more about Ellis by visiting his campaign website.
