BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bostonians have spoken: Nick Anderson of Melrose is Boston’s Tom Holland.

Hundreds of voices screamed in unison at the Boston Common Sunday and crowned Anderson as the British actor’s doppelganger at a Tom Holland lookalike contest.

Event organizers, Katherine Gehring and Dilcie Oliveira, said they put on the contest just for fun, only expecting their friends to show up, and to bring people together.

“Boston, a lot of people have this idea that it’s a little boring, but I think that Boston just has a sense of liveliness that is only experienced in live community,” Oliveira told WBZ Newsradio.

Celebrity lookalike contests have been popping up all over the country. Most notably, the Timothee Chalamet lookalike contest in New York City in Oct. that garnered thousands of attendees and even an appearance of the real actor himself.

The real Tom Holland, while was spotted a few times around Boston recently, did not turn up to the contest on Sunday.

For Anderson, he says it’s common for him to get comments for his resemblance to the Marvel actor.

“When I tell you, actually, someone comes up to me once every four to six weeks and says ‘hey, you look like Tom Holland,’ I wish I was lying,” he addressed the crowd.

As the winner, Anderson took home a $50 prize and a bag of British sweets.

“I actually have a list of people that I want to meet someday and [Tom Holland] is on that list just because of the likeness,” he added.

He also shot his shot and told the crowd that he is looking for his Zendaya to his Tom Holland. “By the way, I am single, and yes, I am looking for a girlfriend," he said.
