BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Dozens of cats removed from a home in Norfolk County are in need of loving homes.
MSPCA-Angell has been treating the 30 cats and nursing them back to full health.
The MSPCA said the cats were living in crowded, unsanitary conditions without proper food and water or clean litter boxes.
Along with animal control, officials from the MSPCA removed the domestic shorthairs from a single property on Jan. 2.
Law enforcement is not pursuing animal cruelty charges.
Officials said overall, the cats are in good health.
A few of them need to stay in treatment a little longer due to their individual medical needs.
Along with being put up for adoption, the MSPCA said donations are being accepted to help support the medical care for the cats estimated to be about $5,000 each.
Interested adopters may see what cats are available at MCPCA Adoption Centers and are asked to visit Nevins Farm Tuesday through Sunday, noon – 4:30 p.m. or the Northeast Animal Shelter daily, 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
