BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Drake Maye, rookie quarterback of the New England Patriots, has been selected to play in the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games.

Maye joins Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson as the AFC's representatives.

In his first NFL season this year, Maye played 13 games with the Patriots, with a total of 2,276 passing yards. He had a passer rating of 88.1 and threw 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

The invitation comes as Maye prepares to transition to new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, and new offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Patriots special teamer Brendan Schooler was also selected for the Pro Bowl this year but is not attending. Previously, Patriots 2021 first-round pick Mac Jones made the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

The 2025 Pro Bowl Games will take place at Nicholson Fieldhouse at the University of Central Florida. The Thursday Skills Showdown starts at 7 p.m. on Jan. 30 and the Pro Bowl Games Championship starts Sunday, Feb. 2 at 3 p.m. consisting of a seven-on-seven flag football game.
