BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Pieces of history from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean are now on display in downtown Boston.
Titanic: The Artifacts Exhibition officially opened Thursday at the Saunders Castle at Park Plaza.

"Even though this exhibition has been seen by 35 million people, the people of Boston have not seen it before," Joe Gold of The Gold Group, the exhibition's promoter, told WBZ NewsRadio Friday.
The exhibition takes visitors through painstaking recreations of the doomed ship's interior, from the boiler room to the grand staircase in first class.
"The exact replica was used in the filming of 'Titanic,' the movie," Gold said.
The recreations are the backdrop for over 150 authentic artifacts recovered from the wreckage, including plates, playing cards, hunks of machinery, eyeglasses, and a davit arm that was used to lower the lifeboats into the water.
These artifacts are a tangible reminder of what was lost when the infamous ocean liner sank on April 15, 1912.
"Take a step back and look at history and history comes to life right here," said Gold.
The exhibition is open Wednesdays through Sundays and will be in Boston through May.
