Maz's Geek Freak of the Week!

Time to dive into the nerd news from our nerd nation!

LOTS OF CW NEWS!

CW has moved into Sunday nights with Supergirl starting at 8pm.  All the other superhero shows have newish homes.  You can see the whole lineup here!

Arrow will have a TEAM of villains fighting him next season.  Nicknamed The Longbow Hunters

And speaking of team….this year’s CW superhero team up will include Batwoman! She will debut in the crossover this November! No word on who has been cast or if this will lead to her joining Legends of Tomorrow or get her own show.

CW has canceled iZombie  along with others.  Some fans are upset but others think the iZombie crew will be back.

Ok….now getting away from CW soap opera stuff and back to other nerd news….

Deadpool 2 has opened! It also broke all records for a R-rated movie Thursday-night debut!

Black Panther now on DVD, BluRay and digital….(and as you purchase it say WAKANDA FOREVER!)

An Alfred prequel series is in the works.  It WILL NOT be a Gotham spin-off.

Speaking of Gotham….Fox renewed it for a fifth and final season.   Fox also canceled Lucifer

Avengers: Infinity War is still breaking records but Marvel is looking ahead and AFTER May 2019. Dubbed "phase 4", it will introduce some new characters to the MCU.  We all know what this means....expect reboots of X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Silver Surfer. They better leave Deadpool alone and I hope Doctor Doom and Galactus are the next big villains!

Also announced that Captain Marvel will introduce Agent Phil Coulson's origins.

In the 11th hour over at ABC they renewed Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD for a sixth season…but won’t come back until 2019.

Heading to Disney Land? You better bring me this Thanos Sipping Gauntlet

So the Joker from The Dark Knight was a military operative specialized in interrogation that was suffering from PTSD?!  That’s what Patton Oswalt may have figured.  Read his theory here!

I'm Maz and that's your Geek Freak of the Week (brought to you by no one)
