Gather 'round kids...It's New Apple Product Day!

Break open those piggy banks! It's a yearly event that makes us look at our current phones and watches and say "you old piece of junk!

The tech giant has announced a new line of phones...they are Xs, Xs Max, and the Xr.  The X stands for 10. Here's a little more info on them.

iPhone Xr come in a assortment of colors. Blue, Yellow, Coral, White, Black, and a Product Red version. It has a 6.1 inch screen and has an better daily battery life span than the iPhone 8, over an hour more.   Gig sizes run 64, 128, and 256 gigabytes.  This is basically a relaunch of the iPhone 5c line. Starting around $749 this is Apple's new "cheap" iPhone.

iPhone Xs and Xs Max are the new "it" iPhones.  They come in the standard Gold, Silver, and Space Grey finishes.  They have SUPER retina displays and their "face id" for unlocking the phone is said to be the fastest yet.  Battery life on these phones is about 30 mins better than the previous iPhone X.  Gig sizes are 64, 128, and 512 gigabytes.  Screen size for the Xs is 5.8 inches and the Xs Max is 6.5 inches.   The price...just the low low price of $999 for the iPhone Xs and $1099 for the Xs Max.  WOOF!

And of course...Apple has a nice fancy and seductive video to make you feel better about spending your entire paycheck on a phone.

On to the watches!

Still no teleportation feature...but someday they will crack that code!  The new Apple Watch Series 4 is about 30 percent thinner then previous models. The new speakers make it louder. And, of course, it's faster with a new 64-bit processor.  Battery life didn't change with the new design.  The smart watch can last about 18 hours in daily use.

It comes in a few colors. If you get the aluminum version you have a choice of Space grey, silver, and black.  If you want to be fancy and get stainless steel you have the option of Gold, Polished Black, and regular Space Grey.  It's also compatible with all current wrist bands so no new ones are needed!  It should be noted that this watch is also FDA approved as it has an EKG function to help monitor your heart rate and send a history to your doctor.

Alright, time for pricing. The fancy smart watch starts at $399 for the GPS model and $499 for the cellular one.  If you want to save a few bucks (and by few I mean a lot) they lowered the series 3 version to $279.

So...will you add one of these new products to your list this holiday season?  I know if I got the watch in my stocking I wouldn't be upset.
