Is That Your Spidey Sense? YUP! Time For The Geek Freak of the Week!

Another week has passed (YOU DID IT!) and all the turkey and stuffing should be out of your system by now.  So pull up a chair, grab a cold one, and enjoy the Geek Freak of the Week!

Some Sad News To Report....

A moment to remember the great God of Mischief Loki.  The true breakout character of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Russo Brothers confirmed he indeed died at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

Ah lets face it...he'll be back.  They can't really kill him off with his own series coming out on Disney Plus. Right....RIGHT?!

News or Just Hype?

Altight, whoever is running the DC Extended Universe twitter account must not sleep.  It's updating constantly and has some...interesting tweets.  There was one the other day that called Batman V Superman a "cult classic in the making.  Is it?  That's a debate for another time, but their latest is revealing some "big news" before the year is out.  Is this their way of saying "Hey we are still here...please don't watch the Avengers 4 trailer if it comes out...PLEASE!"

Are You Ready For Elseworlds?

The countdown to December 9th continues! To make things even better...they released each episodes breakdown so we know what to expect during the crossover!  You can see that here!

But of course, it's not a CW crossover without another trailer.  Who's digging the all-black Superman suit?

Another Countdown...To January!

It can't just be me...but I thought of this right away.  Titans AND Young Justice?  A lot of the same characters here...just a different show.  That's A LOT of Robins. Young Justice: Outsiders returns in January.

(chant with me) SEASON 4! SEASON 4! Season....Ah Crap...

I had another version of this part of the Geek Freak telling everyone "so far no more Marvel/Netflix cancellations, this is a good sign..." then I saw a tweet around 10pm Thursday and went "ah F@&K.

Is this really the end or is Netflix just ditching them because Disney wants them for their streaming service?  If it is the true end of the Hell's Kitchen Devil at least season 3 was one of the best.  All that remains is Jessica Jones and The Punisher ...for now.  Let's take a pool to see when they get canceled!

Yee Haw, This Will Be Awesome, Y'all! '

Let's all say it....ABOUT DAMN TIME! The anime debuted back in 1998 and has since developed a huge following...so much that Netflix is now creating a live action show. Toonami has been playing it non-stop and yes, I have DVR'd it because a) they play it at 3am & b) it's REALLY GOOD.

Rumor has it that the live action will consist of 10 episodes, all 50-60 minutes each.  Now that Netflix has more room for content since Disney and Marvel basically did the Thanos finger-snap to their relationship.  I'm still a little bitter about Daredevil being canceled....does it show?  I guess it's the classic line "when one things ends something else begins".   At least that's what a therapist would tell me.

Are You Here To Sing Deadpool Carols?

the PG-13 Deadpool re-release is coming. Because when you think of Christmas and the holiday season you think Deadpool, right?  My guess is this, this is a stunt by Disney (new owners of 20th Century) to see if a PG-13 rated version of Deadpool works.  We all know Disney doesn't like R ratings.  Regardless, at least the marketing for it is still amazing.

and that's your Geek Freak of the......oh wait.  ONE MORE THING!

Before I upset Aquaman.....do you have Amazon Prime? If you do then AWESOME and you can see Aquaman a whole week early thanks to a partnership with Atom Tickets.

The showings will be one day, Saturday December 15th in about 1000 theaters across the mainland of the US of A. But remember....only Amazon Prime members can get the tickets, if you don't have one, time to find someone who does!  Here is the link!

That's all now....more nerd news is coming next week until then I'm Maz and that's the Geek Freak of the Week! (brought to you by no one...still)
