I'm sure you woke up today thinking it was just going to be like any other...NOPE! It's here....Avengers: ENDGAME!
So many questions....so many feelings. This is what we know, hope seems lost, for everyone. You can feel it in Captain America's speech to Black Widow, Tony's words in the recording, and of course, Hawkeye. (who is in a new suit and using the code name Ronin.) Can you blame the guy? Looks like he lost his family in the the Decimation (that's the name given for the now famous Thanos' snap).
Let the theories roll as we wait for the final chapter to arrive on April 26th, 2019!
side note: yes, I have watched it over and over again. AS SHOULD YOU!
Winter Is Coming!
It's the old saying....good vs evil. Light vs dark. Fire vs ice. This really is a teaser. No plot, no characters, no new footage. Just a tease. April is going to be one intense month.
Let's Talk About Something Marvelous!
It's about time we got something regarding Captain Marvel. They are really giving Marvel's most powerful superhero some justice. Full on suit look, some past story lines, and most of all, her in action. I am digging how her hair is worked into her helmet, makes the most sense, right? This trailer really shows off she means business (ordering Fury around and such). Captain Marvel will be on the big screen March 8, 2019.
All Hail The King!
This is a momentous moment for all superhero movies. Black Panther is now a best picture nominee for this years Golden Globes. In the past superhero films usually fall into the technical or music categories. The last time a superhero/comic book film got another above that was Heath Ledger back at the 2009 Golden Globes when he won Best Supporting Actor as the Joker in the Dark Knight.
Does it have a shot to win? It's up against some pretty intense competition for this category but the remember, the Golden Globes are not the Oscars, they have two movie categories. One for Drama and one for Comedy so for this time, it has a pretty decent shot to take home a trophy.
The Countdown To Elseworlds
Finally, a Sunday to look forward too! Elseworlds is coming to the CW starting 8pm on Sunday. I have to say this...as much as they were pushing Batwoman earlier this year, why have they suddenly dropped that marketing? Did they have another story that was more Batwoman-based and then changed it for this story line? It's just odd in promos, and the clip below, it's more about Barry and Oliver switching places and the growing threat of the Monitor than anything else. Is Batwoman part of this change-up in the world? It's probably just a way to throw us all off but damn it, I don't want to see Batwoman on screen for 10 minutes in this crossover. Sunday can't come soon enough!
Why Is It So Long?!
It's the elephant...or big bird in the room. Why did the title of Birds of Prey change to Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Margot Robbie stopped by the Tonight Show to discuss that. Looks like this movie is going to be more comedy then serious. Guess they are still scared from the Batman v Superman critics. You can watch the interview and decide if this is a good feeling or not.
Ring...Or Snap In The New Year
I am SO doing this. Why ring in 2019 at a bar or party that is boring, loud, and a let down. Grab your favorite adult cold beverage, a large pizza and/or Chinese food and start Infinity War at 9:48pm. At Midnight, Thanos will snap his finger and BOOM it's 2019. I'm all geeked out. It was A LOT this week. Rumor has it Marvel is planing on releasing a new Spiderman: Far From Home trailer this weekend or early next week. Is Marvel the new Santa?
